Such is the guiding principle for Talin Gureghian, founder and creative director of ALSO Inc. probably one of the brightest and most interesting branding and design agencies in LA’s exciting new wave of creative energy.

Building on over 25 years as a creative leader for some of the most influential and effective design studios in the US and London, Talin established ALSO in 2006 with the objective of bringing her clear, simple and considered design aesthetic to new audiences.

Talin’s work has been recognized by international design publications and garnered awards from D&AD, Graphis, AIGA, Communication Arts, Grafik, Print, and International Design Effectiveness Awards.

The School of Light

Talin and Andrew Hall establish photography school in downtown Los Angeles.

2013

Andrew Hall Editions

Co-founded Andrew Hall Editions to offer contemporary photography for interiors, public spaces and private residences.

2006

ALSO

Started ALSO Inc. working with national and global brands including The American Institute of Architects, Cafesjian Museum Foundation, Lexus and Toyota Motor Corporation.

IBM

The Frameworks was one of five approved design agencies for IBM Europe.

1996

Loud&Clear

Design consultancy Still Waters Run Deep launches its catalog of one-of-a-kind gifts, which were sold at the Design Museum, London and the Crafts Council of England.

1998

The Stationery Office

While at Still Waters Run Deep, Talin undertook a two-year project for one of the UK’s largest publishers, The Stationery Office (Formerly Her Majesty’s Stationery Office), which culminated in a book of photographs by Magnum photographer Peter Marlow.

1998 – 2003

NHS

Taking a beloved national institution, the nation’s National Health Service (NHS), which is also Europe’s largest organization, and making it relevant and challenging for a new generation of health leaders. The Team was voted most effective consultancy in the United Kingdom five years in a row.*

The BBC is renowned for its creative excellence. We rebranded the BBC’s training and development strategy by capturing the fun and spirit of the BBC and its people.

San Francisco

1989 – 1991

Cahan & Associates

Talin’s work focused on Silicon Valley-based businesses and the property sector. It is generally acknowledged within the design community that Cahan & Associates elevated what was at one time the dry and academic category of annual reports to a new level of quality and creativity.
